Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political adviser who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy communications director(2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 as an influential political contributor to CNN. She worked on re-election campaigns for Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013.
